Educational Webinar Series

Educational Webinar Series

Advance your practice and fulfill continuing education requirements through the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors Educational Webinar Series. Each year, we curate a series of webinars around a central theme, offering relevant, high-quality programming that supports both professional development and excellence in genetic counselling practice.

Webinars typically run from February through June and September through October, and are open to all. Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors members can earn Continuing Education Credits (CECs) at no cost, with additional opportunities available to obtain Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Sessions are offered in both live and recorded formats, providing the flexibility to learn on your schedule.

CEC/CEU for Webinars

Participation in all webinars in the series is not mandatory. CECs and CEUS will be granted for the specific webinar(s) in which you participate. There is no fee for CAGC members to obtain CECs. The Education Committee will collect fees at the end of the series (typically in November) for CAGC members wishing to obtain CEUs.

CECs and CEUs are available to CAGC members who join the live webinar or watch the recording, which can be accessed in the Members Only portion of the CAGC website.

Live participants must attest to viewing the webinar and must complete an evaluation to qualify for CEUs.

On-demand participants must attest to viewing the webinar and must complete a quiz at the end of the webinar and receive a score of 80% or higher to qualify for CEUs.
