First Nations, Métis and Inuit Bursary

First Nations, Métis and Inuit Bursary

The CAGC First Nations, Métis and Inuit Bursary for Canadian Genetic Counselling Applications supports applicants who are applying to Canadian graduate programs in genetic counselling.

This annual bursary is available to Canadian citizens who identify as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit. It is intended to help cover the fees associated with applying to Canadian genetic counselling graduate programs.

Eligible students must apply by May 31 in the same year they are submitting their graduate program applications.

Up to $3,000 is available each year. Funding is awarded in the order applications are received, until the annual bursary funds have been fully allocated.

This bursary reflects CAGC’s ongoing work to support broader access, representation, and participation within the genetic counselling profession in Canada.
